Type of hand saw

1. Frame saw. Also known as frame saw, it is composed of I-shaped wood frame, rope and blade, saw blade, etc. The two ends of the saw blade are fixed on the frame with a knob, and the angle of the saw blade can be adjusted with it. After the winch is tightened, the saw blade can be used. The frame saw can be divided into three types: coarse, medium and fine according to the length and pitch of the saw blade. The rough saw blade is 650-750mm long, with a tooth pitch of 4-5mm. The rough saw is mainly used for sawing thick wood; the middle saw blade is 550-650mm long, with a tooth pitch of 3-4mm, and the middle saw is mainly used for sawing thin wood or mortise; the fine saw blade is 450-500mm long, with a tooth pitch of 2-3mm, and the fine saw is mainly used for sawing thin wood and mortising shoulder.

2. Knife and saw. The knife saw is mainly composed of a saw blade and a saw handle, which can be divided into single-sided, double-sided, back clipped knives and saws, etc. The single-sided saw is 350mm long and has a tooth edge on one side. According to the different functions of the tooth edge, it can be divided into longitudinal cutting and transverse cutting. The double-sided saw is 300mm long and has a tooth edge on both sides. Generally, one side of the tooth edge is a longitudinal cutting saw and the other side is a transverse cutting saw. The saw board of the back clipper is 250-300 mm long, and the back of the back clipper is clamped straight with steel bars, with fine serrations, which can be divided into longitudinal and transverse cutting saws.

3. Slot saw. The grooving saw is composed of a handle and a saw blade, which is about 200 mm long. Grooving saw is mainly used for slotting wood.

4. Board saw. Also known as hand saw. It is composed of a handle and a saw blade. The length of the saw blade is about 250-750mm, and the tooth pitch is 3-4mm. The plate saw is mainly used for sawing wide boards.

5. Narrow hand saw. The saw blade is narrow and long, the front end is sharp, and the length is about 300-400mm. The narrow hand saw is mainly used for cutting narrow hole slots.

6. Curve saw. It is also called circular saw. Its structure is the same as frame saw, but the saw blade is narrow (about 10 mm). It is mainly used for cutting arc, curve and other parts.

7. Wire saw. It is also called bow saw. It is made by bending bamboo into a bow and binding steel wires at both ends. The zigzag flying edge is cut on the steel wire, and the sharp edge of the flying edge is used for sawing. The steel wire is about 200-600mm long and the saw bow is 800-900mm long. Wire saw is mainly used for cutting complex curves and openings.
